Warm Up: What comes to mind when you hear "the velocity of light"?
Lesson: Today we will continue our investigation of the nature of light by exploring Snell's law and how it is used to calculate the index of refraction of light through different mediums. First, we will take notes on The Velocity of Light: Index of Refraction with the end goal of being able to manipulate Snell's law to determine unknowns with regards to the velocity of light. We will conclude today's lesson with some practice questions in Google Classroom.
Google Classroom: Please complete 10/20/10 The Velocity of Light:Index of Refraction in Google Classroom by 11:59PM, tonight.

Homework:
- Please bring the following materials to class on Thursday:
- 1 styrofoam plate (a paper plate might work)
- 50 ml bubble solution (either store bought or homemade)
- 1 drinking straw (I think plastic will work better, but we can try reusables)
