Our goal, by the end of the day, is to be able to deliver our FULL PRESENTATIONS in small groups, and to give and receive feedback on our presentations.
Warm Up: Who wants to volunteer to present TOMORROW during the first hour of the day? If you pass, you are DONE with your TPOL and only need to show up for paneling. Also, I need 2 volunteers to panel during our practice runs.

Interview Preparation: 9:30-10:30
- Bullet Points (15-20 min)
- Go through the entire list of interview questions in your packet.
- For each question, write down two bullet points
- A few words about what you want to say
- The piece of work or anecdote you want to use as evidence for this question
- Interview Demonstration (5-10 min)
- A volunteer stands at the front of the room and is asked THREE interview questions by their classmates.
- Tina provides critiques of each answer to demonstrate what is expected.
- Interview Practice (30 min)
- One person stands at the front of their 4 person group
- The group asks 4 interview questions
- When each person is finished answering questions then the group provides feedback
- What are two things they need to improve about their answers?
- What are two things they did well in their answers?

LUNCH!: 11:35-12:15
Speech Games and Isolated Practice: 12:15-1:15
- No Ums/Likes (10-15 min)
- One student to the front of the room
- Teacher chooses first topic
- They talk for ~30 seconds with NO "ums" or "likes"
- If they succeed, the choose the next person and the next topic
- Introduction Practice (10 min)
- Groups of 3-4, everyone practices their introductions and identifies one thing to improve
- Time them! They should be around 1 minute, and should address values/beliefs AND behaviors/habits
- Experts (10 min)
- Choose a random topic
- One student to the front of the room
- Talk confidently about this topic, as though you were the foremost expert on the topic for 1 minute
- Repeat!
- Element 1 Practice (15 min)
- New group of 3-4, everyone practice their first element (values/beliefs)
- Have someone time it (should be around 3 minutes)
- Identify one thing to improve about the first element
- Revisions
- Figure out revisions and get ready for full run throughs
Full Run Throughs + Revision Plan: 1:20-2:20
- Set Up
- Groups of 3-4
- Need slides, notecards
- Set up desks with panel facing presenter
- For each presentation we need a timer and a scribe
- Run Through
- First person runs through their full presentation. Other people ask them at least 4 interview questions when they are done. These can be questions from the list, or made up on the spot.
- Feedback- scribe writes as the panel discusses
- What was their time for the presentation? Should be around 8-10 minutes.
- What were three things that stood out to you about their presentation? (only ONE of these can be a presentation skill!)
- What are three things they should revise? (only ONE of these can be a presentation skill!)
- Repeat until everyone in the group has gone and has received feedback.
- Revision Plan
- To be finished with work for the day, show your teacher your REVISION PLAN of 3-5 things you want to revise about your presentation, and what, exactly you will do to address these issues.
