Warm Up #14 12/03/19
1) What did you do over break that was rejuvenating or inspiring for you?
P.S. On Friday (12/6), I will pick one random warm up to grade from #8 to #17 (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, make sure you have all your warm ups in your digital science notebook)
Announcements:
1) Project Calendar Shift
Ideation Warm Up: 30 Circle Challenge (5 minutes)
To get our brains moving and to get ourselves comfortable with producing high quantities of ideas we will do the 30 circles in 3 minutes activity. You have 3 minutes to make each of the 30 circles look like a tangible object using only a few lines/shapes.
Brainstorming:
Today's goal is to generate AS MANY IDEAS AS POSSIBLE! Often our first ideas are not our best and it's important to give ourselves to have moments of genius. Please do not get attached to any ONE idea as it will inhibit you from generating ideas that you might love more. The sky's the limit!
Brainstorm Prompt: How might we impact our community(s) with regards to climate change?
Round One: Independently, write one idea per sticky note. Try to come up with as many ideas as possible in 9 minutes.
Round Two: In groups of 3, organize all of your ideas into the following categories:
-How do we know climate change is happening?
-What are the causes?
-What are the effects?
-What are the solutions?
Closure: Pick one representative, from each group, to give a summary about the ideas generated from your group.
Homework: nada
